We are currently seeking a Designer who works under the direction of Engineers and management to provide drawings, details, and material lists required to deliver and support the company’s services and products.
This position can be based at our office in Atlanta-Midtown or in Peachtree City, GA.
Support the efforts of the Project Engineers, Product Engineers and Engineering Technicians to deliver industry-leading engineering services.
Design and detail structural repairs for utility structures and associated foundations.
Perform drafting, checking and create material lists for both steel and concrete repairs.
Create and implement standard drawing practices for use by engineers and other drafters. Develop new-hire training courses and material.
Create details for Pole Restoration repairs, tools, equipment, etc.
Associate degree in a technical field (e.g. drafting and design) from an accredited program and a minimum of 1-year previous experience detailing utility structures working within a utility company or engineering or utility industry contractor.
Proficiency with AutoCAD software or similar drafting software.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and confidently to customers. Must be able to write technical documents using proper style and grammar.
